New York Liberty at Dallas Wings – Parlay No. 1

  • Leg 1: Wings +11 (-110)
  • Leg 2: Over 178 Total Points (-110)
  • Leg 3: Breanna Stewart Over 22.5 Points (-106)

The Liberty (30-6) and the Wings (9-27) meet in the second end of a back-to-back set on Thursday evening at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. These teams just met on Tuesday night, with the Liberty paddling the Wings 105-91 as a 10-point favorite while the Over (176.5) comfortably cashed.

New York was sizzling from the field in Tuesday’s 14-point win, hitting 54.3% (38-of-70) from the floor, while going an even more impressive 55.2% (16-of-29) from behind the 3-point line. That makes sense, as Dallas has a horrific defense, ranking dead-last in both points allowed (91.6 PPG) and defensive field-goal percentage (47.5%). The Wings are also 10th in The W against the 3-pointer, as teams are hitting 36.1% from downtown against them. Obviously, the Liberty were much better than that on Tuesday.

Breanna Stewart led the way, as she often does, going for 27 points on 9-of-18 shooting, including 3-of-6 from behind the arc. She was also 6-of-6 from the free-throw line while notching two rebounds and two assists. Jonquel Jones added 19 points on a very efficient 7-of-9 from the field, including 3-of-4 from downtown. Sabrina Ionescu added 14 points with 11 assists for the team’s only double-double while knocking down four triples.

Betnijah Laney-Hamilton left the game at Las Vegas in the fourth quarter on Sunday, grasping at her right knee. However, she was able to play in Tuesday’s game where she chipped in with 10 points, five assists, and two rebounds while hitting two 3-pointers. She was one of four starters, and five players, to hit at least two 3-pointers for New York.

While the Over is definitely the play here, and usually whenever the Wings are involved, we’re actually going to back Dallas here. It takes a bit of a leap of faith, as the Wings are on a five-game losing streak and non-cover skid. However, the Liberty are just 3-5 ATS in the past eight games, and they haven’t covered back-to-back games since a 7-0 ATS run from July 10-Aug. 20. The team that ended that streak — the Wings, in the second end of a back-to-back Aug. 20-22 in Brooklyn.

And, for the first parlay, we’ll keep it simple, and back B-Stew to eclipse her projected point total, going Over 22.5 points for the game. We’ll get a little crazier in SGP No. 2.

New York Liberty at Dallas Wings – Parlay No. 2

  • Leg 1: Wings +11 (-110)
  • Leg 2: Over 178 Total Points (-110)
  • Leg 3: Breanna Stewart Over 22.5 Points (-106)
  • Leg 4: Betnijah Laney-Hamilton Over 10.5 Points (-125)
  • Leg 5: Jonquel Jones 1+ Made Threes (-470)
  • Leg 6: Sabrina Ionescu 2+ Made Threes (-650)
  • Leg 7: Arike Ogunbowale To Record 4+ Assists (-245)

In addition to the 3-leg SGP above, we’re going to play some other chalky props, as well as one that is quite the value. Laney-Hamilton went for 10 points last time out on Tuesday, so that’s the riskier part of this SGP. We simply need Jones to hit one 3-pointer. Jones has hit seven 3-pointers across the past three outings, including three on Tuesday, and at least one in each of the games. She also has at least one triple in seven of the past eight outings, too.

For Ionescu, she rained down four 3-pointers on the Wings in the front end of the back-to-back, and she has three or more triples in five of the past six games. She has managed at least two 3-pointers in 11 of the previous 13 contests, too. As such, she is a good bet to hit the Over, especially against the defensively challenged Wings.

And, lastly, looking to Arike Ogunbowale of the Wings, the only Dallas prop we’re playing, we need her to get to at least four assists. Ogunbowale has managed at least four assists in three of the past four games, including her four dimes against the Liberty on Tuesday. She is averaging 5.2 APG this season, too, so she is a good bet to get to the mark in this one. If each of those hits, you can multiply up by more than 21 times!
